Allowable cabin load

The LC-130 has an allowable cabin load (ACL) of 36000 lbs (16330 kg). It can carry five air force pallets, 92 troops, 64 paratroops, or 74 litter patients. Fortunately our flights are much less crowded than that! In the foreground, carry-on bags are piled in between the passengers, and behind them is palletised cargo - loaded and unloaded via the rear ramp. By coincidence, the Loadmaster is sitting on the crate containing our servicing equipment for this year, which I packed and shipped from Sydney over a month ago. Cargo has been slower than usual this season, and it looks like it will be delivered just in time.
